The Client Management Suite 7.1 - Boot Camp is an accelerated class designed for the professional tasked with installing, configuring, maintaining and using the core solutions in Notification Server. This Boot Camp consists of a number of web-based, online training modules and a 5 day instructor-led, hands-on class focusing on the daily tasks students perform to manage computers using the Client Management Suite (CMS). Students will learn how to install and configure the Symantec Management Platform (SMP) and solutions. Students will also learn how to use core processes including: collecting inventory, delivering software, patching Windows based operating systems, creating and deploying disk images, scripted operating system installations and computer migrations. Additionally, students will also learn how to use reporting features in CMS to track and monitor their environment, from viewing inventory data to deploying patches and software packages to managed computers.

Who Should Attend
This course is designed for system administrators, engineers, consultants and system architects.
Prerequisites
You should have basic working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and networking concepts including: LANs, network adapter cards, drivers and operating systems; familiarity using VMware is helpful, but not required.
N.B: In the classroom session the main focus will be on the lab sessions and exercises. Therefore it is only possible to attend the instructor led training after completing the Web-based training modules.
